For the sixth year in a row, the i.d.e.a. Museum will be part of Blue Star Museums, which offers free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The program is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums nationwide.
"Creative, interactive play is key to
neurological growth and development."
The i.d.e.a. Museum is an essential provider of art education fundamentals, as well as, a center for creative play which is key to neurological growth and development. We seek to instill a passion for lifelong learning in art and art appreciation for all of our visitors including caregivers, children, adults and teens. Here, everyone can learn about the techniques, processes and materials used to create art while discovering more about themselves and their world through self-expression, hands-on learning and participant-centered programs.
We do this through 4 initiatives:
* Ensuring Accessibility
* Supporting the Arts in K-12 and Higher
* Partnering with Community Organizations
* Enhancing Lifelong Learning
Through our dynamic array of programs, exhibitions, and workshops, we invite you to join us for an artful experience at i.d.e.a. Museum!
