Also, Admission into the museum and ArtVille may be paused on free days based on inside crowds, as these days attract a higher-than-typical number of visitors.

The i.d.e.a. Museum is proud to participate in this program again in 2018. The museum will offer free admission from Tuesday, May 29 to Sunday, Sept. 2, to active-duty military personnel and up to five family members with the following IDs: Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID) or DD Form 1173 - 1 ID card. Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums nationwide.
The i.d.e.a. Museum is a proud participant in Museums for All - a cooperative initiative between Association of Children’s Museum and Institute of Museum and Library Services.
This initiative allows families presenting an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and valid photo ID receive a discounted museum admission ($3 per person; limit 6 in a family) when they stop by the i.d.e.a. Museum.
This signature access program encourages families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits.
