The i.d.e.a. Museum presents jungle-themed activities, entertainment and expert appearances during Family Day on Saturday, April 27. The all-day event centers around the museum’s current exhibition, Junkyard Jungle, where visitors can learn about the earth’s rainforests.

The spring exhibition features art and hands-on activities that also teach about the environment around us, the importance of green living for future generations, best practices in recycling and conservation of natural resources.

When: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019

Where: i.d.e.a. Museum, 150 W. Pepper Place, Mesa

Planned activities include: 

  • Interacting with special guests
  • Competing for prizes
  • Dropping off electronics for recycling with ER2 and plastic bags with TREX
  • Enjoying entertainment from East Valley Children’s Theatre and Rising Youth Theatre

All activities are included with museum admission, which is $9 for ages 1 and up; free for members. Memberships start at $55.

The exhibition is sponsored by Mesa Recycles, POGO Pass, City of Mesa, the i.d.e.a. Museum Board of Directors Inc., and the Arizona Commission on the Arts, which receives support from the state of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.
