Statement from i.d.e.a. Museum regarding our temporary closure due to coronavirus:

Out of an abundance of caution and to support other preventive measures underway, the City of Mesa has decided to temporarily suspend all public operations at the City’s museums — Arizona Museum of Natural History, i.d.e.a. Museum and Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum — in support of efforts to combat COVID-19 (coronavirus). The museums are always closed on Mondays and will stay closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020, through April 30, 2020. READ MORE FROM THE CITY OF MESA.

Mesa Arts Center is also closed for all public participation, including suspension of events, theater programs and studio classes. Customer service representatives will remain available by phone to answer and address customer needs or questions.

The situation will be monitored and updated regularly, adjusting or extending as needed in response to the situation. Each organization’s websites will be updated to inform the public of any changes–see below for a list of the website addresses.

Please note, current i.d.e.a. Museum memberships will be extended for the duration of the museum closure.

The City and our staff thank you for your patience and your support as we move through the days and weeks ahead.
