Every building starts with an architect. The best architects listen to their clients, their customers and community members, imagining the new building and its purposes. An architect takes all the hopes, desires, requirements, building codes, and site surveys, to plan a building that meets the needs of each of the stakeholders.
Imagine, Design, Build exhibition focuses on how an architect imagines a building, then designs it, to allow a builder to build the new building to their specifications. The exhibition will look at materials to use in building, new technologies available to 3D print affordable homes, and other aspects of architectural design.
Visitors will be able to imagine their own building project, whether it is a home, office building or school, then create it through the activities in the gallery. Activities also include building with Rigamagig parts, Minecraft video game, and numerous other hands-on happenings.
