Hello Friends,
Thank you for your ongoing support during our temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We know families are seeking to return to the normal we once knew. We do, too.
You may be wondering when we will be opening again for creative experiences, as city parks facilities and pools begin to slowly phase in activities in June. At this time, the City of Mesa continues, out of an abundance of caution, to keep many facilities including the i.d.e.a. Museum closed to the public until further notice. The city is committed to bringing back programs as soon as possible and will continue to review this on a monthly basis.

Your museum membership continues to be extended during the duration of our closure. We thank you for your patience.
We’re diligently working on a plan to reopen – this includes reviewing our exhibitions and seeking additional protective measures for our staff and visitors. Plus, we are making sure to have adequate supplies for keeping our museum clean, and we’ll need time to hire staff. We aim to develop a museum experience you’ll love.
In the meantime, let’s stay connected. If you can, we’d love to see the STEAM activities our museum families are doing. Just tag us on social media or send us an email. We miss seeing your smiles and creativity.
Finally, we wish you good health and moments of joy until we can welcome you back for artful, educational experiences. Stay well!
Warmly,
Sunnee O’Rork
