Reading is a big part of our exhibitions and educational programs at the i.d.e.a. Museum, so we are proud to be part of the 2021 Summer Reading Program in Maricopa County. The program runs June 1 –  Aug. 1, 2021.

This year, the museum is one of the secret code locations, where young readers can earn more points or unlock badges. You can stop in during business hours to get the code from our front desk.

Please note: If you want to stay and play, the museum is operating at limited capacity. Advance ticket reservations are strongly encouraged. Find tickets here: https://my.mesaaz.gov/3mzvMmf

Reading at i.d.e.a.

Families read together in our exhibitions spaces. This image is from Art of the Story.

At the museum, you have a few opportunities to also get some extra reading in your day!

  • In our ArtVille play space aimed at little ones ages 4 and young, enjoy reading books in our colorful library.
  • And in our Art of the Story exhibition, ending June 13, we have a special reading nook for all ages. A new reading space will be part of the Robo Art exhibition opening on July 1, too.
  • Additionally, on Saturdays the museum offers story time at approximately 11:15 a.m. (before our 10 a.m. session ends).
