Joomchi Collage

Practice this 500-year-old traditional Korean paper manipulation technique using water and eager hands to fuse multiple layers of hanji (mulberry paper) into a single, durable, and textured material. Participants will tear, cut and shape our collage pieces. Then, brush water in between each assembled layer of paper before a rubbing, rolling and kneading the wet paper. The fibers intertwine much like wool felting, resulting in a flexible, leather like fabric collage. This is a family-focused workshop. Caregiver participation and assistance necessary.

Space is limited.  Arrive early to ensure a spot!
