Be Kind: Treat others with respect and kindness.

Be Safe: Stay together, walk carefully, stay aware of your surroundings and enjoy food and  pen-lid drinks in the Snackery or atrium areas to keep the museum clean and safe.

Be Happy: Enjoy your time here and share joy with others.

Be Respectful: Treat exhibits, spaces and fellow visitors with care.

Have Fun: Dive into the activities and make memories together.

Be Creative: Let your imagination soar and explore your creativity!

Adult visitors must supervise their children and/or guests at all times.

Children and adults who are playing rough or become disruptive to the safe play of others will be excused from the museum.

Art materials are for use in the museum only. Return supplies and tidy up space after completing an activity.

We respectfully ask parents to follow age recommendations for ArtVille, as this space allows little ones ages 0 - 4 to play freely with other children who have similar abilities and mobility.

If older siblings visit the space as helpers for younger siblings, parents are asked to supervise them at all times.

If children older than 4 are not behaving appropriately in the space, parents will be asked to relocate them to another area of the Museum.

To maintain the cleanliness of our floors in ArtVille and to provide a safe environment for all visitors, please leave strollers in designated parking area in the lobby.

idea Museum has a parking lot accessible from W. 1st Street and W. Pepper Place. During peak days/times, the parking lot can become full but there are multiple free parking options in Downtown Mesa.

All ages are welcome! While the museum’s exhibitions and programming are designed for 0-12 year olds, we provide fun hands-on experiences that encourage creativity, learning and fun for everyone to enjoy.

Gentle Exploration Space: ArtVille features an enclosed space for babies. The space features soft toys and mirrored pony walls geared toward non-walkers.

Nursing: We are nursing friendly. For those who prefer quiet and privacy, we offer a family room inside ArtVille. It’s furnished with comfy chairs, a changing table, sink and toys so other children can stay close by.

Changing Stations: Changing tables are in all of our bathrooms, except the children’s bathrooms in ArtVille designed for little ones who want independence.

Strollers: You may bring your stroller to the museum. While visiting ArtVille, we offer designated parking areas for stroller to help the museum maintain floor cleanliness and to provide a safe environment for all visitors.

Eating and drinking are only allowed in the lobby, outdoor Atrium and Snackery.

Drink and snack vending machines are in the Snackery.

Several kid-friendly restaurants are within walking distance of the museum.
